Intermezzo String Quartet has a great deal of experience providing background music for events large and small. We have played for many weddings and receptions in and around the English Lake District - Cumbria, North Lancashire and the surrounding area - and are therefore very familiar with the area's major hotels, stately homes and other civil wedding venues (including the wedding venue of the year in 2006, Bank House at Sharrow Bay Hotel Ullswater; Armathwaite Hall Bassenthwaite Lake, Keswick; Grange Hotel Grange-over-Sands; Greystoke Castle Penrith; Inn on the Lake Ullswater; Lakeside Hotel Windermere; Storrs Hall Windermere; Low Wood Hotel Windermere; Merewood Country House Hotel Ambleside; Muncaster Castle Ravenglass; Leighton Hall Carnforth; Ashton Memorial Lancaster; Town Hall Barrow; and the Swan Hotel Newby Bridge).

We make every effort to work with you to ensure that the music we provide is the perfect accompaniment to your day. We are able to appropriately tailor our music to suit individual requirements. For example, many people value some suggestions regarding appropriate music during a civil ceremony - namely for the bride's entrance and exit, and during the signing of the register.
